Let’s take a look, shall we?
As of recently, I’ve been incorporating a lot more color into my makeup looks. I’ve gone from 50 shades of brown to “you never know what you gone get” over the past year or so.
The new Wet N Wild Summer Season In A Box: Unicorn Glow collection couldn’t come at a better time for me. Much like many other makeup enthusiasts, I was intrigued by the Rainbow Highlighter and sassy Unicorn Highlighting brush but the whole collection seemed pretty interesting. I snagged the collection when it first released at Beautycon BUT was it worth it?
At a price point of $29.99 here’s what you get
I wouldn’t recommend wearing these alone but I do enjoy them as a lip “topper” so to speak; they’re a little bit on the sheer side and may look awkward alone. I wore “Unicorn Soul” on top of “Alien” liquid lipstick by NYX
To be honest, these blew me away
Bronze Over The Rainbow =This shade is more of a golden hue and definitely brown girl friendly
Everlasting Glow – This shade it a bit more silvery than “Bronze Over The Rainbow” but I definitely think it’s doable for brown girls (I’ve successfully worn silver highlighters alone and mixed with gold).
Unicorn Glow– GURL. Don’t let the colors deter you. This is life. While I wouldn’t wear each color in the compact alone, mixing them all together gives a beautiful gold based bluish-green hue. P.S. this is the highlight I have on throughout this post.
Unicorn Highlighting Brush (LOVE)
It’s SUPER cute and so far so good as it pertains to shedding and application of the product. I’ll give it the good ole wash test once we get a more acquainted.
Is it worth your coins?
I’d definitely say yes. Wet N Wild did a great job on this collection. My favorite product out of the collection would have to be the highlighters. The colors are lovely and the color payoff (when using the highlighting) brush took me aback.
The Unicorn Glow Box is officially sold out (womp womp) BUT pretty much everything is still available to be purchased individually. That’s great news for those of you that want to pick and choose products from the collection. Purchasing every item individually would only run you about $4 more, in case you were wondering.
