NEVER LET ‘EM SEE YOU SWEAT–LITERALLY.
As much as many of us (specifically on the Eastcoast) may hate the winter, the Summer is no easy feat.
Here are things that you need to incorporate into you Summer body care routine to keep you comfortable and staying fresh all day. Oh, also so people won’t be able to smell you from a mile away.
Get rid of unwanted/unneeded body hair
That means underarms and your nether regions–especially your nether regions though. Vajayjay’s don’t get much ventilation, therefore, they do sweat. That sweat gets trapped in the hair down there and gives off an unpleasant odor.
Layer your scents
The only layers you should ever wear in the summer are your fragrances. If you want your pleasant smell to last throughout the day, layering similar scents can give you a lasting effect. Start with body wash, then layer body lotion, a lightweight scented oil and a body spray.
P.S. Go for light fresh scents in the Summer. Heavy, strong scents may be too overwhelming in the heat and keep you not so fresh.
My Picks:
Bronzed Goddess by Estee Lauder
The Righteous Butter Body Lotion by Soap & Glory
Sea Island Cotton by Bath & Body Works

One word…DEODORANT (preferably spray on)
It is a must unless you’re cool with people smelling you before you arrive at the scene. Spray-on antiperspirant works to control sweat in hot weather conditions. It’s also SUPER easy and convenient to put on in the morning.
I recently tried the New Dove Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant and I must say I’m IMPRESSED. Typically spray deodorants make me feel wet and icky but this actually goes on dry and keeps me dry all day. This spray on deodorant won’t stain clothes or cast a white shadow under your arms either.
Most importantly of all, it keeps you fresh all day while adding moisture. For only about $5, this deodorant is definitely a win in my book.
P.S. Between the Sheer and Clear Dove Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant‘s, I prefer the Sheer because it has a light fresh scent which is perfect for the Summer.
Pro Tip: If you have sweaty feet, spray a little of the Dove Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant in your shoes or on the bottom of your feet to control the sweat and keep them fresh. I especially love this when wearing jelly sandals. You’re very welcome.
Keep Your Hair Clean
Sweating from the scalp is a thing and boy can it smell disastrous. As with pubic hair, the hair on your head also traps in sweat and odor. Do yourself and your hair a favor by keeping it washed, conditioned and smelling right.
Travel with baby/body wipes
When it 99+ degrees outside (give or take), you’d much rather be safe than sorry. Carrying around wipes to freshen up doesn’t make you nasty or dirty; it makes you prepared–well prepared at that.
Pretty much any baby wipe brand will do. My motto is if it’s safe enough for a baby, it’s more than safe enough for me.
Drink Water
If you haven’t realized, water is the key to life. Drinking lots of water in the heat doesn’t only cool you from the inside out–it will also control how much you sweat. Do yourself a favor and stay hydrated.

I LOVE the Dove dry spray. Its the only thing I use. I will be adding it to my shoes now too. Thats a great tip!
Girl yes. It’s been weird not using stick deo but spray has been SO good to me!
Try your shoes/feet and let me know how it goes 🙂
My sister uses the Dove dry spray and it smells amazing but I can’t use them because they don’t hold me. I sweat far too much to use the little cute deodorants, unfortunately. 🙁
