I’m sure I’m not the only one who is often confused as to where the “love” comes in on these Love & Hip Hop franchise shows. If anything we learn a lot about what NOT to tolerate.
Even though Mona Scott did us the honor of making a visual not-to guide on dating and relationships, allow me to further break down the non-relationship goals learned specifically from LHHH.
1. Trust no ninja, fear no b*tch lhhh
As per usual, we see Nia fighting for Soulja’s love while he is prancing around with some other reality tv show gals and Nas, who is now infamously known for upchucking at the drop of a dime.
Nia held her own when it came down to confronting Nas about her relationshipsh*t with Dre, but she just hasn’t gotten that whole Soulja Boy is not to be trusted thing, down pack.
2. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its probably an effin duck lhhh
This storyline, just like all of the others, is very fishy but in the event that it is even slightly true, Amber should have known better. If your dude is living a whole other life that you lowkey know about, how mad can you really be when your suspicions are confirmed?
Ladies, please don’t make the top thing on your “to-do” list to change something about anyone.
3. An entree ain’t as good without suttin’ on the side lhhh
Fab circa 2001 taught us this. If the man that you want to be YOUR man expresses that he much rather sample some appetizers, fall all the way back if you can’t handle it. Don’t fake it until you make it. You won’t make it.

4. Don’t let the “what if’s” and “maybe’s” play on your emotions
I can’t front like I wasn’t rooting for Moniece, Lil Fizz and baby Kam, of course I was. But I too need to realize sometimes you have to let bygones be bye and gone. Don’t dwell on the past because there’s a strong chance that it can hold you back from pursuing a future…with someone else. Moniece definitely took a chance by approaching Fizz about the possibilities of “them” but I think we all knew how that was going to turn out.

5. It’s all good until the “playa” gets played lhhh
I’m a firm believer in that whole what goes around comes around philosophy. And unfortunately enough for Rich, his luck has finally run out. As sad as it may be to watch anyone, and I mean anyone, get their heart broken, it is inevitable that it will happen to everyone at least once in their life–even the King of the creeps. This is a little lesson in Karma my friends.
6. When you drink water and mind your business, your relationship steers clear of drama lhhhhhh
For a long while, Apryl and Omari were going strong–mainly because they stayed out of other’s people drama. Though they eventually intended, they did show how drinking water and minding your business is vital information for your everyday lives.
7. Don’t befriend YOUR boyfriend’s ex
Just don’t. Do I even have to explain why? It can and WILL bite you in the ass!
8. Don’t lie to your woman about how you’re going to making ends meet because she might hit the strip club and do what she has to do
I tried it, I know. I’m still trying to fully comprehend that whole storyline.
