Like most busy millennials trying to find their place in the world, I often feel overwhelmed by the many things that I have to do in a days worth of time. Granted we all get the same 24 hours per day, but unfortunately we are not celebrities or well off people who have the luxury of having a personal assistant or a secretary to take a little of our the load off of our hands. Instead, I’ve turned my iPhone into my own little personal assistant. With just few clicks from the App Store and sacrificing a little bit of my phone memory, my day is running a bit smoother than it has in the past.
If you are trying to get your life together too, here are some iPhone (they may be available to android users also) apps that are worth downloading.
This app is great for the budget diva that needs to get her spending under control. You can link you cards to the app so the app can automatically keep up with what your spending on. This app also breaks down the categories of your spending to show you where you are spending a bit too much and keep track of your credit score.
2. My Fitness Pal
If you are looking to get in shape or stay in shape for those of you who are lucky enough to already be fit, this app can help you a ton. This app allows you to see how many calories your taking in and burning off by allowing you to input all of your meals for the day and to track your workout. What I love the most about this app is that you can also scan bar codes for things that you consume and it also has a pretty good catalog of common meals both homemade and from restaurants.
I don’t know about you, but I’m much happier person when that time of the month doesn’t sneak up on me. This app allows you to keep track of your cycle in order to avoid any hiccups.
After years of tracking all of my daily tasks in my notes app in my iPhone and jotting down on slips of paper, I stumbled upon this app. The app allows you to make a timeline of all your tasks for the day and even congratulates you when you’re all done.
5. A train/bus app
Considering I still haven’t taken the initiative to learn how to drive, public transportation has become my best friend. Unlike driving your own vehicle, public transportation (both buses and trains) work on a schedule that you cannot control. Downloading a train/bus app for your city can help you maneuver more smoothing through your commute. You can get real-time updates, info about train/bus delays and much more.
I always randomly get emails asking me to sign documents when I’m on the go. Typically if I were home I’d either print the document, sign it, then scan it to email it back or sign with adobe. This app makes signing documents through email 10 times easier, I swear.
7. Gmail App
I wanted to break all of my Apple devices recently because the mail app was screwing up the addresses that I was sending emails from. It became very annoying to mean to send an email from one address and it mistakenly sends from another confusing the person on the receiving end. My emails were also sending from email addresses that were no longer synced to my phone/iPad. the Gmail app is much more functional and I haven’t had any email mishaps since downloading it.
8. Cash App
Carrying cash is so early 2000’s. i for one tend to blow cash when I have it on me, lose it, or get it caught in the zipper of my wallet. When there are time when I need to pay for cash and don’t have any or me or the time to run to my banks atm (not just any bank because I don’t believe in paying for my own money), I can just send the money to someone with Cash app. Me and my friends do this all the time, to split bills, pay for club cover charges and some other random things. the best thing about this app is that you can send cash for the FREE!
9. Math Alarm Clock
is it just me or the alarm clock app that iPhone come with are good for absolutely nothing?! I myself sleep right through the apps alert and it just serves as background music for whatever I’m dreaming about at the moment. This app makes you answer math problems in order for it to stop going off (you can’t just hit snooze) By the time you get through the math problems your probably well out of your sleep and ready to get your day going.
What apps have you discovered that have been getting you through your days? I’d love to check them out!
