I’ve received my summer “care package” from Clinique a few weeks ago (yeah, I know I’m a little behind with this post) and I’m very excited to spill the “tea” on some of these treats that I purchased with my gratis aka free employee money. Some are items that I love and needed to replenished—others are items I’ve been waiting to try and haven’t ordered until now.
Lets start with my replenishments…
Makeup Brush Cleanser: This is a good cleanser to both deep clean your brushes and quick clean in between deep cleans. I also like to wipe down my white bathroom counter with this considering it always has some trace of makeup on it.
7 Day Scrub Cream: This scrub cream is a good physical exfoliator for all skin types. I know hating scrubs is popular but this gentle one has never failed me. An added bonus of this product is that after you massage it in the film turns from white to clear, absorbing moisture into your skin. This is especially good for when your skin is feeling a little dry or dehydrated.
Quickliner for Eyes (Intense Midnight): This is one of the best eyeliners that I’ve tried. This pretty blue hue doesn’t only look fabulous but it also is long wearing, smudge resistant and great for sensitive eyes.
Quickliner for Lips (Shade Chocolate Chip): I use this lip liner to line my lips primarily for nude/brown lipsticks and glosses but also to tone down very bright colors such as oranges/corals and pinks. Cafe is a great alternative if you enjoyed this shade.
Quickliner for Lips (Shade Plummy): One of my all time favorite lip liners. I love to pair this liner with violets and reds. Occasionally with pinks if I’m going for an ombre effect.
High Impact Extreme Mascara (Extreme Black): Anyone that knows me knows that I complain that I am bald on the lids! I have little to no eyelashes but this mascara takes my lashes from 0 to 100….real quick.
Pore Refining Solutions Foundation(DISCONTINUED): Still praying that they bring this foundation back in 2020. It’s literally one of themost flawless foundations I’ve tried in my life.
Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel: This is life in a bottle. This product is great for that occasional stubborn pimple that may occur at the worst time but also great for everyday usage (depending on your skin type and main skin concerns). This is a product that you should have a few of on hand, especially one for on the go!
And now for the Newbies.
Clinique Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment: This eye treatment is meant to help with firming and brightening around the eyes. Though not a big concern of mine, it’s never too early to get a head start right?
Clinique Pop Lip Color + Lip Primer (Berry Pop): I’ve tried this lipstick prior to buying it and I was amazed at how long it lasts. It lasts even through me eating lunch which usually leaves my lips looking a hot mess. I plan on get this lipstick in Cola also (it wasn’t available at the time :/ )
Blushing Blush Powder Blush (Precious Posy): This is an awesome blush if you want some peachy and subtle that adds a splash of warmth to the face.
Powder Foundation Brush: Compared to a standard powder brush, this brush is flat to provide precise application. The anti-bacterial natural bristles are a plus!
Super Fine Brow Liner: I hate that whole very artificial, drawn-on, mustache above the lid look. This is a thin pencil that will give natural hair-like strokes as long as you don’t over do it. Eyebrows on #FLEEK for real.
I’ll do some looks over the weekend with these products so be on the look out!
What Clinique products are you loving/using right now? I wanna know!
